Cortexeon AuditWP AI — know the file is QCR-ready before the inspection, not after. Live pilot
An ICAP-aligned, AI-assisted audit working paper and Quality Control Review platform built specifically for Pakistani Chartered Accountant firms. It replaces the Word-and-Excel audit file with a single system built around ISA methodology, Companies Act 2017 and IFRS disclosure requirements, and the ICAP QCR sign-off matrix — and every AI feature runs on the firm's own servers, so client financial data never leaves your office.
Live pilot. AuditWP AI is currently in live pilot with an ICAP-registered chartered accountancy firm in Lahore, running against real engagement data.
- QCR readiness
- Live 0–100 score
- Disclosure checks
- 30+ requirements
- Ledger imports
- 6+ systems

The AI layer
Intelligence that runs inside your firewall — never a black box.
Local-first, zero data egress
AI runs against a model hosted on the firm's own infrastructure, with air-gapped deployment fully supported. No API key, no cloud dependency, and no third-party processor in your engagement letter.
Confidence-scored compliance matching
Every disclosure requirement is matched against the draft financial statements with an explicit 0–100% confidence score and the matched terms shown. Anything uncertain routes to a human reviewer — never silently marked done.
Semantic search across the whole file
Every evidence file and working paper is indexed, so a manager can ask a plain-language question and find the right document across an entire engagement.
Batch financial-statement drafting
One click drafts an editable explanation for every significant lead-schedule variance, a first-pass note for each applicable statutory disclosure, and a grounded liquidity / equity-movement commentary — always reviewed and saved by a preparer, never filed as-is.
New in 1.4
Substantive testing, not just disclosure checking.
AR/AP, inventory and payroll testing
ISA 505 circularization suggestions and doubtful-debt candidates on receivables and payables; inventory NRV write-downs and slow-moving stock under IAS 2; payroll tests for duplicate identities, ghost-employee indicators and pay outliers. An unanswered, disputed or provenance-less confirmation now blocks a file from showing "ready for release."
A full forensic suite, cross-checked
Benford's Law across five test variants, duplicate payments, voucher sequence gaps, period-end clustering, related-party matching and a withholding-tax heuristic — reconciled cross-source against the trial balance, aging, payroll, fixed assets and bank statements, with a genuine "check could not run" instead of a false clean tick.
Every result is reproducible
Every analytic run is hashed against its population and result, so a reviewer — or a QCR inspector — can re-run it later and prove nothing changed.
Describe a test, get a rule — never a query
Describe what you want to check in plain language. The model proposes a rule, parsed into a whitelisted expression and evaluated deterministically — never executed as a live query — and shown to the auditor before it ever runs on the file.
Also New
Guided connectors, not raw JSON.
Setting up a trial balance import or a compiled-output export is now a labelled, tooltipped form instead of hand-edited configuration — with a real OAuth handoff for supported accounting platforms, and a run history for every import and export. Pakistan-specific connectors are built in too: FBR IRIS sales tax annexure parsing and SECP eServices company-profile import.
Why it pays
Built around how a CA firm actually earns — and where it loses.
- Fewer QCR findings, less rework. Missed statutory disclosures are the single biggest source of QCR deductions. The checklist runs before the file is released, so gaps are fixed during fieldwork instead of after an inspection — protecting both the firm's rating and its unbilled remediation hours.
- More engagements per partner-hour. Trial balances import from TallyPrime, QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, SAP Business One or Excel and auto-map to ICAP lead schedules. The complete QCR master file — hyperlinked index, PDF summary, Excel lead schedules and every evidence file — exports as one zip in under two seconds, not a day of file assembly.
- Every judgement is defensible, tamper-evidently. ISA 320 materiality carries a documented justification, and an ISA 530 sample can be reproduced exactly months later. A reviewer can never sign two consecutive levels, and every sign-off, approval and sample draw writes to a hash-chained audit trail that breaks visibly if anything is altered after the fact.
- No per-seat cloud bill, no client data leaving the firm. The platform self-hosts on hardware you already own via Docker. For a profession bound by client confidentiality, "the data never leaves our office" is a far easier conversation than any cloud vendor's assurances — and costs do not scale with every trainee you hire.
- You see the firm's own numbers, not just the client's. WIP & billing tracks unbilled value, invoices and write-offs against agreed fee and actual time cost at your own charge-out rates — so margin erosion shows up before the year-end review, not after.
Also included
Four-tier role separation
Trainee, Manager, Engagement Partner and System Administrator — with TOTP multi-factor authentication and AD/LDAP single sign-on. Administrators run the platform but structurally cannot sign audit work.
Deploys on your terms
Self-hosted on a single server in your office or across the firm's own data centre, with strong encryption for secrets at rest. Air-gapped installation is supported.
Practice management, not just working papers
Timesheets proposed from recorded activity, WIP & billing tracked against your own charge-out rates, and staffing rebuilt as a real Gantt chart with overload warnings driven by actual peak concurrency.
Client collaboration, built in
Live presence and conflict-safe sign-off on working papers, a client PBC portal with automatic overdue reminders, and optional e-signature with identity verification.
